The Archdiocese of New York’s Bicentennial Parish Campaign is an historic campaign that addresses the current and future needs we face as an Archdiocese. With a vision of the role we want to play in the future vibrancy of the greater New York community, we embarked on a bold effort to strengthen our parishes and secure our future as an Archdiocese.
Funds raised through each of these parish campaigns will be split 80/20 - 80% will be allocated to addressing specific capital, reserve and programmatic needs of the parish and 20% will be allocated to a restricted fund dedicated to helping less fortunate parishes throughout the Archdiocese.
Over the past three years, more than three hundred and fifty parishes have participated in the Bicentennial Parish Campaign, and we are thrilled to report that the campaign has done extremely well. To date, over 60,000 Catholic families have pledged more than $155 million toward the Bicentennial Parish Campaign.
As we look forward to a new year, we encourage you to remember that our Churches provide us with abundant opportunities to grow in a faith that has carried thousands of others through earlier periods of difficulty. Our success as an Archdiocese is attributed to the many Catholic faithful who support our local parishes. The goal for this comprehensive campaign, the largest fundraising effort in the history of the Archdiocese, will allow us to enhance our programs and services in order to better meet the needs of our people, both now and well into the future.
